Freddie Mercury was the lead vocalist and a principal songwriter of Queen. Born Farrokh Bulsara, he helped define the band's identity through his vocal range, songwriting, and theatrical stage presence. He wrote “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Somebody to Love,” and “Don't Stop Me Now,” and also recorded solo work and a collaboration with soprano Montserrat Caballé.
